Tom and WEz.jpg

Born in 1993, Maidstone, Kent, Tom grew up surrounded by horses. As an active member of the Ashford Valley Pony Club his career in eventing started early, and during his teenage years he combined this with hunting at the weekends. After completing his GCSEs with a sports scholarship at Bethany School, Tom went to work for Sasha Pemple and spent the next two years gaining experience breaking and schooling young and troublesome horses. In 2012 Tom joined Dassett Eventing which was a fantastic opportunity, not only to develop his riding whilst competing a string of young horses but to take the next step to managing and running his own yard.

After spending a year at Dassett Eventing Tom decided to go for it and set out on his own with a yard in Kent, where he is currently based with his partner and yard manager Sabrina Pryer. The business has gone from strength to strength and Tom currently has twenty horses in livery, four of which are competing at advanced/3* level.

Tom’s key eventing achievements to date include:

2018 - Tattersalls CCIU25** winner

2017 - 1st Badminton completion

2016 - Tattersalls CCIU24** winner

2015 -  Selection for Senior European Championships

2014 - Team Bronze Young Rider European Championships

2014 - Bramham, CCIU25*** winner

2013 -  Team Silver Young Rider European Championships

2011 - Team Gold Junior European Championships

Having completed Badminton in 2017 for the first time on his horse Waltham Fiddlers’ Find (Wes) Tom is now working towards achieving his goals of representing Team GBR at the Olympics and World Equestrian Games in years to come.
